Teaching Truth

  • God had a plan to rescue the world from sin.

  • God always keeps His promises.

Questions to Ask Your Child

  • What was Isaiah’s job?

  • Did Isaiah have to listen and obey?

  • What message was Isaiah sharing?

  • How can we be like Isaiah? What message can we share?

Family Activity

Tell your child that the Good News that Isaiah was preaching was like a light to the dark world, so you and your child are going to make a candle or torch. Give your child a long cardboard tube and allow him to decorate with crayons or markers. Using a piece of red, orange, and yellow tissue paper, put them in one end of the tube as flames. Talk about how God’s plan to rescue the world from sin was a light to the world - Jesus.

Wrap-Up

With each lesson, help your child apply what they have learned by asking, “What do you think God wants us to learn from this story?” If you get stuck with finding the answer, refer to the weekly Teaching Truths.
