Teaching Truth

  • Wise men worship Jesus.

Questions to Ask Your Child

  • What sign did God put in the sky the night Jesus was born?

  • Why do you think the wise men wanted to bring Jesus special gifts?

  • Why was King Herod upset when the wise men told him about the baby king?

  • Why do you think the wise men bowed when they saw Jesus?

  • How can you worship Jesus?

Family Activity

Dim the lights in a room and turn on a flashlight to represent the star that the wise men followed. Shine the flashlight on the floor, have your child walk over and stand on the light, then move it to another place and have him crawl to the light. Continue moving the light around the room and having your child follow the light by hopping, crawling, or any other movement.

Wrap-Up

With each lesson, help your child apply what they have learned by asking, “What do you think God wants us to learn from this story?” If you get stuck with finding the answer, refer to the weekly Teaching Truths.
