Questions to Ask Your Child
Read Judges 2:18-19 - The Lord continually forgave the Israelites for their disobedience. What does this show you about His heart for His people? (He is faithful, loving, patient, and forgiving.) Explain to your kids how you have seen the Lord’s faithfulness in your own life.
Read 2 Samuel 5:12, 7:16 – What had God done for David? (Chose David to be king over Israel, blessed his kingdom, gave his family a throne that would last forever)
What did God promise David? (His house and kingdom would be established forever) Who is God going to send to fulfill this promise? (Jesus!)

As you review the Old Testament eras, talk about what happened in each era and how they connect as part of God’s story, and ultimately point to Jesus.
