All I Want For Christmas is Peace
Sermon Notes
Welcome! This Sunday, we are journeying through the Advent season with a new series, "All I Want for Christmas Is…," where we'll reflect on the true gifts of the season through the lens of Scripture. Today, we focus on peace. Advent, meaning "arrival," invites us to remember Jesus' birth and anticipate His return. Amid a culture filled with misplaced priorities, we explore how biblical hope transforms our hearts and minds, grounding us in the promises of God.
During the Christmas season, it's easy to get caught up in the busyness of festivities and Christmas shopping, that we don't experience much peace during this time of the year. In today's message, Grant MacQuilkan invites us to reflect on the true meaning of peace—or "shalom." He reminds us that the Prince of Peace came to restore what was broken by our sin and to reconcile us to God. Jesus Christ is the greatest gift we could ever receive, bringing us lasting peace.
