More Precious Than Gold

Sermon Notes

Welcome! This Sunday, Josh Fortney takes us through 1 Peter 1:3-12, where Peter speaks to believers who were dispersed, facing persecution, and in need of encouragement. Peter reminds them of God's promises and encourages them to rejoice and have hope. As we explore 1 Peter, Josh helps us see what true faith looks like and how, as believers, we can endure suffering with the hope we've been given through Jesus Christ and where to fix our minds and hearts in the midst.

In this series, we're focusing on the main theme of 1 Peter: as God's chosen people, believers are called to endure suffering with hope, following in the footsteps of Christ, trusting that their trials serve to sanctify them and prepare them for the glory to come. Join us as we walk through 1 Peter verse by verse over the next eight weeks!
