Memory Verse:
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NLT)

We Believe Weekend: The Bible

Questions to Ask Your Child

  1. What is the Bible? (The written Word of God)

  2. Is the Bible true? (Yes! The Bible is absolutely true!)

  3. Who wrote the Bible? (The Bible was written by lots of men who were told what to write by the Holy Spirit.)

  4. Read 2 Timothy 3:16-17. What do we learn about the Bible in these verses? How did the people know what to write? (The Holy Spirit gave them the words to say. It is not a book of made-up stories.)

  5. How can God use the Bible in our lives? (To prepare us to do His work, to correct us and teach us.)

Activity

Learn the memory verse for the week as a family (2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT)! Gather the family in a circle and find a ball or an object to pass around the circle. Have someone kick off the verse by saying the first word: “All” and then have them pass the object to the next person and they will say “Scripture”. Continue passing the ball or object until you say the whole memory verse!
