Jesus is our Passover Lamb.
Questions to Ask Your Child
Who washed the disciples’ feet? (Jesus)
What do the bread that Jesus broke and the wine that Jesus broke for His disciples represent? (The bread – Jesus’ body broken for us; The wine – Jesus’ blood shed for us.)
What does Jesus want the disciples to remember? What does Jesus want us to remember? (That He died for us because He loves us.)
Family Activity
Spread a table cloth over the table or on the floor. Use several stuffed animals to be Jesus’ friends and line them up around the cloth. Read the story about the last supper from the Bible and have your child act out the animals' parts. Go over the questions above as you talk about the story.
Wrap-Up
With each lesson, help your child apply what they have learned by asking, “What do you think God wants us to learn from this story?” If you get stuck with finding the answer, refer to the weekly Teaching Truths.
