Questions to Ask Your Child

  • What was God’s promise to Abraham?

  • What are descendants? Are we Abraham’s descendants?

  • If God gave Abraham as many descendants as stars in the sky, can we count them all?

  • Can we trust God to keep His promises?

Family Activity

Grab a sheet of black construction paper and write “My Family” at the top in a white crayon.  Have your child place large star stickers on the construction paper. Then, using a black permanent marker, write the names of family members on the stars. Talk about all the blessings God has given you and your family.

Wrap-Up

With each lesson, help your child apply what they have learned by asking, “What do you think God wants us to learn from this story?” If you get stuck with finding the answer, refer to the weekly Teaching Truths.
