Questions to Ask Your Child
Read Genesis 1 with your kids. How does God show us who He is through His creation?
Is it always easy to see God’s purpose in everything He does? Why not?
Look at 2 Timothy 1:9-10. What was God’s purpose from the beginning of time? How did He show it through Jesus?
Can we ever do something to mess up God’s purpose? Why do you think that?
Activity
Draw pictures together as a family, of your favorite things in nature (mountains, trees, flowers, animals) Talk together how each of these different things show us God’s glory.
Discuss why God’s purpose of His glory is a good thing. Talk about how God creating all things to point back to Him helps us see that there is nothing bigger, better, stronger, more powerful, more hopeful, or more satisfying than knowing and having a relationship with Him. Thank God that, because of His purpose, we can know that real life is found in Him alone.
