Questions to Ask Your Child
Read Ephesians 2:19-20
What does it mean to be saved? (We admit we’re sinners, believe Jesus died on the cross and took the punishment we deserve and confess He is the Lord of our lives.)
Whose family are we adopted into when we trust in Jesus?
What is the foundation of the church? (The Bible. God used apostles and prophets to write down His words so we can read today! The Bible is true now, then, and forever.)
Why is it so important that Jesus is the cornerstone (or head) of the church? (He is our Savior, the source of truth, never changes and is the only reason the church exists. Without Him, nothing else matters.)
What is the church? The Church is not a building, it is the people, all people who have been saved bv grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
Read Hebrews 10:24-25
What does the writer of Hebrews warn us against? (not meeting or gathering together with other believers)
What are some ways believers can “motivate one another,” or encourage each other?
What “acts of love and good works,” or service, have you seen the church do in your life or in the lives of others?
