Cast Your Vote: Municipal Elections in North Texas


Municipal Election Voting

Saturday, May 6 is North Texas Municipal Elections Voting Day. Early voting is now until Tuesday, May 2. We encourage all members to vote in every election and we want to help you be an informed voter regardless of who you’re voting for. Check out this Voters Guide for your city.

Residents will be voting for: school board positions, city council positions, city & school bond propositions, and, in Collin County, the Collin College school board.

Counties currently having elections include: Collin County, Dallas County, Denton Country, Tarrant County & beyond.

Did you know? Many city elections are decided by just a few votes! In Texas, employers are required to give employees time off to vote.

How to vote:

  • Research the candidates in your area, use sample ballots and voting guides.

  • Plan when and where you’re going to vote!

  • Take your ID and go cast your vote.

  • Lastly, encourage other to vote and set a reminder for the next Election Day!
