Hardship and suffering don’t wait for a convenient time. Whether it’s family struggles, personal pain or a marriage that feels stuck, we want to help. The heart of our Care Mentor team is to create a safe space to engage in meaningful ways with individuals and couples.

Care Mentorships

Our one-to-one care provides a space for individuals to ask questions, feel heard, and consider what the next healthy steps for them might look like. We seek to provide mentorship, equipping and encouragement for anyone in hard seasons. Our mentors are not functioning as licensed counselors. Instead, we offer intentional and skilled care through volunteers who are trained to help. We listen to your story, give you a space to be heard, we share truth and encouragement from God’s Word, and offer guidance towards healthy and wise next steps.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No and yes. There is no registration fee or application fee. During your mentorship, you and your mentor may decide to work through a devotional together that can be ordered online at a small cost.

  • Mentorships last up to 6 meeting sessions. You get to decide with your mentor if you want to meet once a week, once every other week or monthly. It is absolutely up to you and what is best for your growth.

  • Mentorship meetings are completely flexible. You get to decide with your mentor what schedule works best for you and what location is the best fit.

  • Not at this time. We have volunteers who are glad to meet with parents and resource them, but we do not meet 1:1 with children or teens. Mentors are available for people 18 years old and older.

  • Yes and no. Your conversations are private but not confidential. What does that mean? If there is eminent danger or a need for additional counseling support, mentors can reach out to church staff for resources and wisdom.

  • Our trained volunteers are not functioning as Licensed Professional Counselors. We love LPCs and believe their skill and wisdom can be a huge gift to those seeking deeper care and support. Wise counselors are like primary care physicians, they are helping you get and stay healthy over a longer period of time. Our mentorships are more like seeking help from an urgent care doctor – we know that we aren’t your long term support but we want to help set you on the right path and provide helpful resources for the journey.
