My name is Brian Buchek. I was raised in Richardson, Texas by a devoted single mom after my father passed away when I was young. I came to know the goodness of a present and perfect Heavenly Father in high school as He pursued me through friends at a local church.

After trusting Christ at age 16, I fell in love with God’s Word and have spent more than two decades learning more about it. One of my go-to passages is Jeremiah 17:7-8, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

I met my wife, Morgan, while I was at Baylor University and she was attending the University of Texas. We married in 2002. We have five kids who remind us daily of both the joy and hard work of parenting. Morgan and I first came to CityBridge in 2004. We were and still are awed by seeing the Lord change lives of people in our body of believers. I am passionate about this local community of faith, and that we continue to be all that Christ has called us to be.

I enjoy working in the digital media business where I help organizations think through effective ways to grow. I love family vacations to Colorado, hanging with our community group, playing golf, coaching, reading historical biographies, and watching Dude Perfect videos with our kids.
