High Call. Safe Place.

Selah means to reflect and rejoice in the Lord. At the end of our High Call, Safe Place series, let's pause and reflect on all that God has done as we anticipate all that He will do moving forward. Use this message to dwell on the last few weeks and prayerfully consider what the Lord would have for you as your next faithful step with Him.

Salvation is an incredible gift. For those who have trusted Christ, we have been saved from the penalty of sin, are being saved from the power of sin, and one day will be saved from the presence of sin. The enemy continues to downgrade the blessings and benefits of salvation. As we close out our series, "High Call, Safe Place" lets consider the incredible gift of salvation.

Humanity is beautifully made but deeply broken. From the world around us to the reality within us, there is something that just isn't right. Only the Creator can recreate what’s been broken. Remaining what He was, God became what He was not: Human. Jesus became the true human that we were meant to be. When we believe and embrace this reality, we are rescued and restored back to who we were created for and what we were created to be.

What do you think about when you think about God? How you view God affects how you view yourself and how you live in the world around you. God is continually revealing Himself to us by showing us who He is and what He is like. As we get to know Him, He touches and transforms every aspect of our lives. This is the God who is.

As we continue our series, "High Call, Safe Place," we move from who we are to what we believe. The Word of God is living and active and has the power to transform your life. May we be a people who long for the Word of God in order to fall more in love with the God of the Word.

Have you ever asked, "Is this all there is to life?" This struggle is real as many try to find life where it can't be found. God desires us to live life to the fullest and He knows life is only found in following Jesus. At CityBridge, we believe our great calling is to call all people to be fully devoted followers of Christ. Only by following Jesus fully can we find the fullness of life we are meant for.

Doing life together in community is an essential part of what it means to follow Jesus. In order to strengthen our community groups, we need to focus on our relationship with God, understand the reality of our enemy, and resist him together as we collectively run after Jesus. This is the high call to follow Jesus and the church should be the safest place to pursue Him together.

Welcome to CityBridge! Today marks the first day we gather as CityBridge Community Church. As we launch into this new adventure God has for us, we must get one thing clear: Jesus gets the glory. Looking at Isaiah 42, we see that Jesus gets the glory for who He is, how He operates, and what He accomplishes. Because of these things and so much more, Jesus deserves our full devotion as He gets all the glory.
